This two hour season premiere starts with auditions in Los Angeles. Contestants have 1 minute to impress the judges, and then wait to see for the judges to make one of three decisions - if the dancer is good enough they go straight through to Vegas, need to stick around to prove themselves by learning choreography, or is so bad they're sent straight home. 10 males and 10 females are chosen in the callback round in Las Vegas.

All 20 dancers perform for the first time in hopes of impressing the judges and making the cut.

The three couples with the lowest vote totals are revealed, followed by the six dancers performing a solo routine. One male and one female will then be eliminated.

The remaining eight dancers hit the dance floor.

Two of the remaining 18 performers are eliminated by means of the viewers votes.

The remaining 16 dancers perform for the judges in hopes of remaining on the show.

2 of the remaining 16 contestants are eliminated from the contest.

A champion is crowned between the four remaining contestants, Joshua Allen, Twitch Boss, Courtney Galiano and Katee Shean. Also, a performance by the Jonas Brothers and the cast of Cirque de Solei’s Criss Angel Believe.
